Former reality TV star Joseph Duggar has been released on bond after appearing in a Florida court on serious child molestation charges.

Duggar, who appeared on the TLC show 19 Kids and Counting, was arrested in March and charged with lewd and lascivious molestation involving a child under the age of 12. The allegations are connected to an incident that reportedly happened during a family vacation in Florida in 2020.

Authorities say the victim, who was 9 years old at the time, reported multiple incidents of inappropriate contact. Duggar allegedly admitted to the behavior during conversations with the girl’s father and later in a monitored call with police, according to court documents.

A judge set Duggar’s bond at $600,000, and he has pleaded not guilty to the charges. As part of his release conditions, he is not allowed to have unsupervised contact with minors while the case continues.

The case has drawn major attention because of the Duggar family’s reality TV fame and previous scandals involving other family members. The situation has also brought renewed scrutiny to the family’s public image and past controversies.

In a related case, Duggar’s wife, Kendra Duggar, has also faced charges in Arkansas involving child endangerment and false imprisonment related to conditions in their home, according to reports.

The investigation and court proceedings are ongoing, and Duggar’s next court appearance is expected later this year as the case moves forward.

The case continues to develop and could become one of the most high-profile Duggar family scandals in years.
