A 3-year-old girl reported missing from her home in Avondale, Arizona has been found safe after a nationwide Amber Alert triggered a coordinated search by law enforcement and vigilant community members.

Kehlani Marie Rogers, who vanished from her residence late Friday night, was discovered early Sunday morning at a Phoenix area QuikTrip gas station. The quick action of a gas station security guard and a nearby moving crew helped bring the search to a successful conclusion.

The Amber Alert was issued after police determined Kehlani had been taken by 23-year-old Marina Noriega, who was not a family member, prompting widespread public assistance. A security guard at the QuikTrip recognized the pair after seeing the alert and immediately called authorities.

According to law enforcement reports, the moving crew at the gas station acted quickly by blocking Noriega’s vehicle, preventing it from leaving the scene until Phoenix police arrived. Noriega was then taken into custody without further incident.

Officers confirmed that Kehlani was found safe and unharmed, bringing immense relief to her family and the community following an intense search. Law enforcement has not yet disclosed what charges Noriega may face but custody interference is expected among other potential counts.

Local officials praised the “community heroes” whose alertness and rapid response helped ensure Kehlani’s safe recovery. Such collaborative efforts between everyday residents and public safety agencies highlight the importance of Amber Alerts and public vigilance in missing-child cases.

The Avondale Police Department thanked the public and media for their assistance and encouraged continued support for efforts aimed at keeping children safe and quickly reuniting families in emergencies.
