Doug Mason, one of the contestants on Taylor Frankie Paul’s season of “The Bachelorette,” has publicly voiced his support for Taylor after the show was canceled. The decision to pull the season came in the wake of released footage depicting Taylor Frankie Paul engaging in a physical altercation with her ex-partner.

On Friday morning, Mason shared a brief video on Instagram expressing his prayers for Taylor and stating, “That was her moment and her moment was blocked.” He urged fans to remain hopeful during this difficult time.

The incident shown in the video occurred in 2023 and features Taylor Frankie Paul physically attacking Dakota Mortensen, with their child present in the background. The assault included throwing bar stools at Mortensen and resulted in Taylor’s arrest.

In response to the footage becoming public, the network ABC decided to cancel the season of “The Bachelorette.” Taylor Frankie Paul released a statement expressing gratitude for ABC’s support and assured that her viewpoint would be shared in due course. A representative stated, “After years of silently suffering extensive mental and physical abuse as well as threats of retaliation, Taylor is finally gaining the strength to face her accuser and is taking steps to ensure that she and her children are protected from any further harm.”

Additionally, Dakota Mortensen has obtained a restraining order following an alleged recent incident in which Taylor is accused of choking him during a chaotic confrontation.

This development has prompted ABC to replace the canceled season’s timeslot temporarily with reruns of other programs. The situation continues to unfold as both parties take legal and protective measures related to their dispute.
