Fetico launched its Tokyo Fall 2026 collection ahead of the official start of Tokyo Fashion Week, which begins on March 16. The brand, led by designer Emi Funayama, showcased its latest work throughout February, a scheduling choice many Tokyo designers have made this season to navigate production logistics.

This collection, titled “Contours of Grace,” marks a new phase for Fetico as Funayama, who turns 40 this year, reflects on aging gracefully and designing for more mature women. Celebrating five years since the brand’s debut, the collection draws inspiration from three influential women: painter Vanessa Bell, model-turned-war correspondent Lee Miller, and fashion icon Gabrielle Chanel. These figures, known for reshaping perceptions of femininity in the 20th century, served as creative muses influencing the show’s aesthetic.

The designs feature a mix of military-style coats and suiting, fuzzy tweed ensembles, and ruched negligee blouses. Funayama carefully chose a diverse cast of models spanning different ages to better represent the brand’s evolving customer base. Hemlines remained modest while subtle elements of Fetico’s signature sensuality were apparent in details such as sailor pants with corset-style lacing, rose-print velvet suits, and dresses cinched at the waist. The front-ruched pencil skirts further emphasized the brand’s nuanced take on femininity.

One highlight was the collection’s many-pleated trousers, which created a striking visual as they moved across the floor of Tokyo’s Museum of Contemporary Art, where the presentation took place. Accessories including pillbox hats and Mary Jane pumps contributed to an overall aura of soft, old-world elegance. To modernize this aesthetic, Funayama incorporated textured denim and leather pieces. A standout leather jacket featured princess seam tailoring, combining sensuality with sophistication that appeals across ages.
