Ralph Lauren revealed its Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection, marking a notable return to runway shows for its menswear line, last month in Milan. Traditionally favoring presentation formats for menswear this century, the brand’s decision followed strong sales and renewed enthusiasm for both its women’s and men’s collections. In November, Lauren was honored with the CFDA Womenswear Designer of the Year award, reflecting the brand’s growing prominence.

The men’s show, which combined the Purple Label and Polo lines, emerged as the season’s most-viewed men’s runway presentation across Milan and Paris. The new women’s collection carried forward elements of rugged elegance seen in the menswear, presenting a cohesive vision that blends practical, outdoors-inspired looks with polished styling.

The venue, the Jack Shainman Gallery, was transformed with hand-painted canvases depicting forest scenes and floors layered with antique rugs, evoking the atmosphere of a grand country estate similar to Lauren’s home in Bedford, New York. Models were dressed in outfits reminiscent of a hunting weekend, mixing indoor and outdoor wear, day and night attire, and merging ruggedness with sophistication in a manner consistent with Lauren’s six-decade aesthetic.

Founded in 1967, Ralph Lauren remains one of the longest-standing designers on the New York fashion week schedule. While the collection followed familiar styling cues, it maintained contemporary relevance through thoughtful details. The sturdy riding boots provided a grounded feel to the looks, complemented by an inventive pairing of casual and formal pieces. Examples included slouchy sweaters worn with floor-length skirts, leather bustiers matched with wool trousers, chunky toggle cardigans, and tweed blazers paired with strapless, bead-embroidered dresses.

More than 50 custom fabrics were reportedly used in the collection, many offering a tactile quality. Lauren described the collection as capturing “a renegade spirit and the confidence of the woman who will wear it in her own personal way.” This theme was reinforced by styling choices such as belts cinching tailored suits and chainmail dresses, shawls pinned with vintage brooches, and a standout plunge-front silk velvet evening dress that required no additional accessories.

Overall, the Fall 2026 Ready-to-Wear collection emphasized a balance between utility and elegance, underscoring Ralph Lauren’s continued commitment to classic yet contemporary fashion.
