New details have emerged following the death of former Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets, with an autopsy report shedding further light on the circumstances surrounding the reality television personality’s passing.
Sheets, who became one of the most recognizable figures on the long-running A&E series, died in April at the age of 67. Authorities previously confirmed that his death was ruled a suicide following an investigation by local law enforcement and the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office.
Toxicology Results Released
According to the newly obtained autopsy report, a comprehensive toxicology screening found no evidence of drugs in Sheets’ system at the time of his death.
Tests reportedly screened for a range of substances, including prescription medications and illegal drugs. The results came back negative, indicating that no intoxicating substances were detected during the examination.
The report also described Sheets as a well-nourished adult male and did not identify any additional medical findings that altered the final determination made by investigators.
Medical Examiner Confirms Findings
Following the examination, the Mohave County Medical Examiner’s Office reaffirmed its original conclusion regarding the manner of death.
The newly released documents largely support the findings already announced by authorities after the initial investigation, while providing additional information about the toxicology analysis conducted as part of the standard postmortem process.
Discovery at Arizona Home
According to police, officers responded to Sheets’ residence in Lake Havasu City during the early hours of April 22 after receiving a report involving a deceased individual.
Investigators from the department’s Criminal Investigations Unit were called to the scene and later worked alongside the medical examiner’s office to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
Authorities have not publicly indicated that foul play was suspected during the investigation.
