Hailee Steinfeld has officially shared the name of her baby daughter — and the touching way she revealed it is melting hearts.
The actress and singer, who welcomed her first child with husband Josh Allen earlier this year, introduced fans to her daughter in a deeply personal letter published on her Beau Society Substack.
Addressing her baby directly, Steinfeld revealed her daughter’s name as Harper Haize Allen.
The announcement marks the first time the couple has publicly shared their daughter’s full name since welcoming her in April.

In the emotional letter, Steinfeld reflected on the life-changing experience of becoming a mother and the overwhelming love she feels for her newborn daughter.
“You’ve been here for only a short while now, and somehow it feels as though you’ve always been ours,” she wrote.
The actress described the early months of motherhood as both beautiful and exhausting, calling the experience “sacred” while admitting the days feel simultaneously long and fleeting.
“There are moments I still look at you and wonder how you’re real,” she wrote.
Steinfeld also shared how motherhood has completely changed the way she experiences time.
“It isn’t always in the big moments,” she explained. “Sometimes it’s realizing that I no longer measure time in months or years, but in ounces, naps missed and naps miraculously taken.”

One of the most touching moments in the letter came when Steinfeld revealed a question she and Allen frequently ask each other while looking at their daughter.
“Your daddy and I look at you often and ask each other the same question: How did we get so lucky to have you?”

Since Harper’s arrival, Steinfeld has largely stepped away from the spotlight to focus on family life.

The actress admitted she now fully understands why parents constantly warn new moms to cherish every moment.
“Everyone tells me not to blink. Now I understand why,” she wrote.
Steinfeld reflected on how quickly Harper is already changing, saying she misses versions of her daughter that existed only weeks ago.
She even became emotional imagining future milestones, from braiding her daughter’s hair to watching her grow into the person she will become.
“I’ve learned that motherhood isn’t made up of grand moments as much as the tiny, precious ones,” she wrote.
A Summer Dedicated to Family
Just days before publishing the letter, Steinfeld spoke about motherhood during a Beau Society livestream, revealing that spending time with Harper is her top priority this summer.
“So this is the only summer that she will be a baby baby,” she said.
“The goal is to just be incredibly present and truly soak up every moment.”
The actress explained that becoming a parent has given her a new appreciation for how quickly time passes.
“I now fully understand what every parent ever has said — you blink and it all just goes by so fast.”
