Meghan Markle and her children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are reportedly expected to travel to the United Kingdom later this week, potentially turning Prince Harry’s solo visit into a family reunion.
According to multiple reports, the Duchess of Sussex and the couple’s two children are expected to join Harry during his trip. However, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet are not expected to take part in any public engagements, and Buckingham Palace has not commented on the reports.
A Rare Return to Britain
If the visit goes ahead, it would mark the family’s first trip to England together since 2022, when they attended celebrations for Queen Elizabeth II’s Platinum Jubilee.
Prince Harry initially traveled to Britain alone after concerns over security reportedly prevented Meghan and the children from joining him at the start of the visit. Reports now suggest arrangements have been made that could allow the family to reunite during the trip.
Possible Reunion with King Charles
The reported visit has also fueled speculation that King Charles III could spend time with his grandchildren.
While Prince Archie was born in the U.K., Princess Lilibet, who was born in California after the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties, has only visited Britain once. During that 2022 trip, royal sources said King Charles was emotional about meeting his granddaughter for the first time.
No meeting has been officially confirmed, and any private family plans remain undisclosed.
Security Remains a Key Issue
Security has continued to be one of the biggest factors affecting the Sussex family’s visits to Britain.
After stepping back as senior working royals in 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan lost their publicly funded police protection in the U.K. Harry has repeatedly argued that the current security arrangements make it difficult for him to bring his wife and children back to his home country.
Despite ongoing tensions within the Royal Family, Harry has previously said he hopes for reconciliation and has continued making trips to Britain for charity work and events, including preparations for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham.
