Shirley Raines, widely known as “Ms. Shirley” and founder of the nonprofit organization Beauty 2 The Streetz, passed away due to hypertensive heart disease. Her daughter, Danielle, confirmed that Shirley had a history of high blood pressure and was receiving treatment for the condition at the time of her death.

Raines was found unresponsive in her Nevada home late last month during a wellness check and was subsequently pronounced dead. She was 58 years old.

Beauty 2 The Streetz, founded by Raines, is dedicated to providing beauty and hygiene services to individuals living in the Skid Row area of Downtown Los Angeles. The organization has played a significant role in supporting the homeless community in that region.

Following her passing, the team behind Beauty 2 The Streetz issued a statement honoring her legacy, expressing that her impact will continue through the work she began and the hearts she touched.

A private memorial service for Shirley Raines is scheduled for next Monday, with a public memorial to be arranged at a later time. Her work and dedication remain influential within the communities she served.
