Myles Garrett, defensive end for the Cleveland Browns, was issued another speeding ticket in Ohio last month. Police reported that Garrett was driving 94 mph in a 70 mph zone on February 21, shortly after attending a basketball game at Miami (Ohio) against Bowling Green. The stop occurred around 1:35 a.m. on a highway. Despite the violation, the arresting officer described Garrett as “kind and cooperative” in the ticket’s remarks section.

Garrett recently returned to the United States after supporting his girlfriend, snowboarder Chloe Kim, during the Winter Olympics in Italy, where she won a silver medal. The athlete has since scheduled a court appearance for the speeding citation on March 10, though he also has the option to pay the fine without court involvement.

Throughout his professional football career, Garrett has accumulated just over $151 million in earnings, which underscores his financial ability to cover such fines promptly. However, this latest citation adds to a growing list; he is nearing his tenth speeding ticket in Ohio since joining the Browns as the first overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Garrett’s history with high-speed incidents includes a serious accident in 2022 when his luxury vehicle flipped and rolled over while carrying a female passenger. Known for his nickname “Flash,” related to his speed on the football field, his recurrent speeding violations suggest a pattern of excessive driving speeds off the field as well.
