Police in Los Angeles arrested a woman after multiple gunshots were fired toward Rihanna’s home in Beverly Hills while the pop star was reportedly inside the residence.
Authorities say the incident happened on March 8 around 1:15 p.m., when several shots were fired from a vehicle parked across the street from the property.
Investigators believe the suspect fired several rounds from an AR-15-style rifle toward the gate and exterior walls of the home. Bullet holes were later discovered on the property.
Police identified the suspect as Ivanna Lisette Ortiz, 35, who allegedly fled the scene in a white Tesla after the shooting. She was later arrested at a shopping center in Sherman Oaks, about eight miles away.
Rihanna, her partner A$AP Rocky, and their three children live at the Beverly Hills property. Officials confirmed that no one was injured during the incident.
Authorities recovered a weapon and shell casings from the suspect’s vehicle and booked her on suspicion of attempted murder. Bail has reportedly been set at more than $10 million.
Police say the motive behind the attack remains unclear, and the investigation is ongoing.
The frightening incident has raised concerns about celebrity home security, as fans reacted online after learning that the singer was inside the house at the time.
