Singer and songwriter D4vd (real name David Anthony Burke) has been arrested in Los Angeles in connection with an ongoing murder investigation involving a missing teenage girl.

Authorities confirmed the arrest after the body of 14-year-old Celeste Rivas Hernandez was discovered in an impounded Tesla registered to the musician.

The vehicle had reportedly been abandoned in the Hollywood Hills for an extended period before being towed due to concerns over a strong odor.
Police say the remains were found inside the car’s trunk after it was taken to a tow yard in September 2025, with the discovery leading to a major criminal investigation.
Celeste Rivas had been reported missing in 2024, and investigators believe she had been deceased for some time before her body was located.
D4vd was previously identified as a person of interest during the investigation, though at the time no formal charges had been filed.
As of the latest updates, he is being held without bail, and the case is expected to be presented to prosecutors for further legal action.
Authorities have not yet released full details on a possible motive, and the investigation remains ongoing.
