Quinton Aaron, best known for his role in The Blind Side, says he faced a shocking situation after waking from a coma.
Doctors rushed Aaron to a hospital in Atlanta earlier this year after he suffered a spinal stroke. Medical staff placed him on life support, and he remained in a coma for several days.
When he woke up, his family shared unexpected news about his marriage.
Marriage Revelation Raises Questions
Aaron learned that his wife, Margarita DeLeon, was still legally married to another man when they tied the knot in 2024.
He said he believed she had been divorced for years. “The entire time we were together, she told me she had been divorced for 10 plus years,” he explained.
According to Aaron, she also claimed she had documents to prove it. The discovery created tension while he was still recovering in hospital.
Wife Responds to the Claims
DeLeon later addressed the situation and offered her explanation. She said she believed her previous divorce had already been finalized.
She added that she only learned about the issue after new checks revealed missing or delayed paperwork.
Her earlier marriage began in 1992. She later stated that her former husband confirmed the divorce was eventually completed.
Focus Shifts to Recovery
Despite the situation, Aaron said he still cares about his wife. He also suggested that they may try to work through the issue.
For now, his main focus remains on his recovery. Doctors have warned that regaining mobility could take months or even up to a year.
Aaron remains optimistic. He said he believes he will walk again sooner than expected, crediting his mindset and faith for keeping him motivated.
