Kris Jenner is speaking openly about her experience with weight-loss medication, revealing that an early attempt using Ozempic left her feeling unwell before she found a treatment approach that worked better for her.
The 70-year-old entrepreneur discussed her health and beauty routine during a recent appearance on the SHE MD Podcast, where she explained why she stopped using the popular GLP-1 medication.
“It Made Me Really Sick,” Jenner Says
Jenner said she initially tried Ozempic when it was still relatively unknown to the public, but the experience quickly turned negative.
“I did not do, like, an Ozempic. I tried it. We tried it once when no one knew what it was and it made me really sick,” she said.
She explained that she experienced strong nausea and discomfort, which made it difficult for her to continue working and managing her busy schedule.
“I can’t work anymore. I’m so sick,” she recalled telling her doctor at the time.
Switching to a Different Approach
After stopping Ozempic, Jenner said she worked with her doctor, OBGYN Thais Aliabadi, to explore other options.
According to Jenner, they “dialed around” different treatments before settling on a combination that included peptide injections and supplements.
She described the new approach as a “game changer” for her overall energy levels and daily routine.
What Are Peptide Injections?
Jenner said she later began using peptide injections alongside supplements such as omega-3 and fish oil.
Peptides are short chains of amino acids that have become increasingly popular in wellness and weight management discussions.
While some claim benefits such as improved energy or metabolism support, medical experts caution that research is still ongoing and potential side effects can include digestive issues or more serious complications in some cases.
Jenner Credits Supplements for Energy Boost
The reality TV star said the combination of treatments helped improve her energy levels, especially given her demanding schedule.
She also noted that the supplements contributed to improvements in hair, skin, and nail health.
“It actually bought me an extra couple hours at night,” she said, explaining that she often works long days before feeling completely exhausted.
She Also Addressed Her Cosmetic Surgery
In the same podcast appearance, Jenner briefly discussed her well-known facelift, which gained widespread attention in 2025.
She acknowledged undergoing the procedure with surgeon Steven Levine, saying she is satisfied with the results and rejected online claims suggesting otherwise.
“I love my facelift. I adore my doctor,” she said, addressing rumors that had circulated about her dissatisfaction.
Public Figures and Weight-Loss Drugs Remain a Hot Topic
Jenner’s comments come amid growing public interest in GLP-1 medications like Ozempic, which have been widely discussed for both medical and cosmetic uses.
While some celebrities have openly praised their results, others have shared negative side effects or discontinued use, highlighting ongoing debate around their safety and long-term impact.
A Broader Conversation Around Wellness Trends
Jenner’s experience reflects a wider trend among high-profile figures experimenting with newer medical and wellness treatments.
Experts continue to emphasize that responses to such medications can vary significantly from person to person, and any use should be closely supervised by healthcare professionals.
