Kylie Jenner is facing a lawsuit from a former private chef who alleges that demanding working conditions during a high-risk pregnancy contributed to the loss of her unborn child.

According to court documents reviewed by the Los Angeles Times, the woman claims she regularly worked long shifts while employed by Jenner and later suffered a miscarriage after a physically demanding work event.

Chef Alleges Excessive Hours During High-Risk Pregnancy

The lawsuit alleges the chef routinely worked 11- to 12-hour shifts, five days a week.

According to the filing, she informed Jenner and members of her management team that she was experiencing a high-risk pregnancy and requested reasonable workplace accommodations to help protect her health.

The complaint claims those requests were not adequately addressed.

Breakdown at Palm Springs Event

The lawsuit centers on an event held in Palm Springs, California, in February 2025, when the chef was reportedly five months pregnant.

She alleges she repeatedly expressed concerns about the workload and requested additional support but was expected to continue working without sufficient assistance.

According to the complaint:

“Due to exhaustion and overwhelming physical strain, [she] broke down emotionally in the bathroom during the event.”

The filing further alleges she experienced severe exhaustion after returning home that evening.

Miscarriage Allegedly Occurred the Following Day

According to the lawsuit, the chef woke the next morning suffering heavy bleeding and drove herself to the emergency room.

She claims doctors informed her that she had lost her pregnancy.

The complaint also alleges she later experienced depression following the miscarriage.

Wrongful Termination Claim

In addition to the pregnancy-related allegations, the lawsuit claims the chef was wrongfully terminated from her position several months later.

She is seeking unspecified damages.

Her attorney, Della Shaker, said in a statement that California employment laws apply equally regardless of an employer’s public profile.

“Celebrity status does not exempt anyone from California’s employment laws.”

Shaker also told The Independent that the lawsuit seeks the same workplace protections afforded to every employee under California law.

Jenner Has Not Responded Publicly

Kylie Jenner has not publicly commented on the allegations.

The lawsuit represents another legal challenge involving former employees after separate lawsuits were reportedly filed earlier this year by two former housekeepers.

At this stage, the allegations remain claims made in a civil lawsuit, and the court has not reached any findings regarding the accusations.
