The Trump administration has announced a limited-edition U.S. passport featuring President Donald Trump’s image as part of celebrations marking America’s 250th birthday.
The commemorative passport, which will be available beginning July 6 while supplies last, was revealed by Trump in a social media post showcasing the redesigned interior pages.
One of the pages features an image of Trump with his fists resting on the Resolute Desk, the Declaration of Independence in the background, and his signature printed beneath the artwork.
In his Truth Social post, Trump described it as:
“The U.S.A.’s New Passport, which says, ‘Welcome, but be good!'”
However, the phrase does not appear on the passport pages shown in the images released by the administration.
The White House also promoted the document on X, calling it a “Patriot Passport.”

Limited Availability
According to the U.S. State Department, the commemorative passports will only be available to U.S. citizens and must be obtained through in-person appointments at the Washington Passport Agency or at designated passport acceptance events.
At launch, only two special events have been announced, both taking place in Washington, D.C., with officials saying additional events could be added later.
Americans will not be able to request the special edition online or by mail.
A Historic First
Current U.S. passports traditionally feature scenes from American history, including the Moon landing and landmarks such as the Statue of Liberty.
The new design marks the first time a sitting U.S. president has appeared on a U.S. passport.
The commemorative passport was first previewed in April with a different design that showed only Trump’s portrait and a gold-colored signature. The final version also includes the number 250, highlighting the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration.
The passport is part of a broader effort by the administration to commemorate the country’s 250th anniversary through special government projects and collectibles.
