The singer shares joyful family news while preparing for a new album
Andy Grammer is celebrating one of the biggest milestones of his life after welcoming his third child with wife Aijia Grammer.
The singer revealed that the couple’s daughter, West Lizette Grammer, was born on June 17, marking a new chapter for their growing family as he prepares to release his upcoming album, Big Stupid Heart, this fall.
A meaningful name chosen with help from big sister
Grammer shared that his daughters’ names have all been inspired by places.
Their oldest daughter, Louisiana, is affectionately called Louie, while their second daughter is named Israel, or Izzy. The name West came from an unexpected source when Louie suggested it from the back seat of the family car, and the idea immediately stuck.
A difficult pregnancy ends with happy news
The couple also opened up about the challenges of the pregnancy, with Aijia once again experiencing hyperemesis gravidarum (HG), a severe condition that causes persistent nausea and vomiting during pregnancy.
Grammer praised his wife for her strength, calling her an “absolute hero” for enduring the condition through all three pregnancies. Aijia said that while the journey was difficult, welcoming West made their family feel complete.
Balancing fatherhood and music
The exciting family news comes as Grammer embarks on a nationwide tour ahead of the release of Big Stupid Heart, due out on October 16.
He described this stage of life as both stressful and rewarding, saying he feels fortunate to experience the joy of raising a newborn while sharing new music with fans.

Grammer said the new album reflects the idea that loving deeply always carries risk, but remains worthwhile.
One of the project’s lead singles, Best Hearts, was inspired by a fan’s personal story involving mental health and friendship, reinforcing the uplifting themes that have become central to his music.
