Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid has shared one of the most memorable moments from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding — and it came courtesy of officiant Adam Sandler.

Speaking at an event in Salt Lake City on July 5, Reid praised the actor and comedian for bringing plenty of laughter to the couple’s ceremony at Madison Square Garden while also delivering a surprisingly simple piece of relationship advice.

“Adam Sandler conducted the service there and he told me, ‘Keep kissing,’” Reid said, according to The Deseret News. “In its simplest form. That’s a good thing.”

Reid added that Sandler’s advice resonated because of how straightforward it was.

“It’s hard to argue when you give your wife a kiss or your wife gives you a kiss,” he continued. “And make sure you do it every day, every minute that you have an opportunity to. Knock it out, and you won’t have any problems.”

Reid says Sandler was ‘phenomenal’

While joking that Sandler is “crazy,” Reid said the actor was the perfect choice to officiate the wedding.

“He was phenomenal,” Reid said, adding that Sandler “did a great job” marrying Swift and Kelce “with a lot of humor.”

Reid’s wife, Tammy, who has been married to the Chiefs coach since 1981, confirmed that her husband already follows the advice Sandler shared.

“He does that,” she said with a smile.

A fitting message from a longtime husband

Sandler has been married to his wife, Jackie Sandler, since 2003, and the couple share two daughters, Sunny and Sadie.

The comedian has previously spoken warmly about both Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Ahead of their wedding, he said his family were longtime fans of Swift’s music, while describing Kelce as “a stud,” “a great actor,” and “a great human being.”

“Travis is such a gentle, nice guy, and funny as hell,” Sandler said during a previous interview. “He’s like the guys I grew up with.”

A star-filled wedding celebration

Swift and Kelce tied the knot on July 3 after nearly three years together.

The ceremony, held at Madison Square Garden in New York City, featured Sandler as officiant and included emotional vows from the couple.

Guests were also treated to performances from music legends Paul McCartney, who performed The Beatles classic I Want to Hold Your Hand, and Stevie Nicks.

While many details from the celebration have remained private, Reid’s story offered fans another glimpse inside the high-profile wedding — along with one piece of marriage advice that both newlyweds and longtime couples can appreciate.
