Jared Leto is facing new allegations of sexual misconduct after several women shared their accounts in a new BBC documentary. The women allege incidents dating from 2002 to 2016, with some claiming they were teenagers at the time of the alleged encounters.

Leto has not been charged with a crime, and the allegations have not been tested in court. A representative for the actor previously denied similar accusations made earlier this year.

New Allegations Detailed in BBC Documentary

According to the BBC’s documentary, Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, four women accuse Leto of conduct that they believe amounted to criminal sexual misconduct. One woman alleges she had a sexual relationship with Leto when she was 17 in California, where the age of consent is 18.

Other women interviewed by the BBC alleged incidents involving unwanted sexual contact, sexually explicit comments, or inappropriate behavior when they were teenagers. Several of the women say they are speaking publicly for the first time.

Pattern of Allegations

The documentary also includes accounts from additional women who describe receiving sexually explicit phone calls or experiencing uncomfortable interactions with Leto. Two former associates connected to Thirty Seconds to Mars also told the BBC they were uneasy about what they described as Leto’s interactions with young female fans.

The BBC reported that it corroborated parts of several accounts through interviews with friends or family members and by reviewing messages and photographs. However, those materials do not independently establish that the alleged misconduct occurred.

Previous Claims and Denials

The latest allegations follow a separate report published earlier in 2025 in which multiple women also accused Leto of inappropriate sexual behavior.

At that time, a representative for Leto strongly denied the allegations, describing them as false. According to the BBC, Leto did not respond to its requests for comment before publication.

No Criminal Charges Filed

As of now, no criminal charges have been announced in connection with the allegations described in the documentary. The claims remain allegations, and there has been no court ruling determining their validity.

Legal experts note that allegations alone do not establish guilt, and any criminal investigation would depend on evidence reviewed by the appropriate authorities.
