Vivienne Jolie-Pitt, the 18-year-old daughter of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, has filed a petition requesting to legally remove “Pitt” from her last name.

According to court documents filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Vivienne is seeking to change her legal name to Vivienne Marcheline Jolie. The filing lists the reason for the request as “personal.” A court hearing has been scheduled for November 2.

Not the First of the Siblings

Vivienne’s filing follows similar requests from some of her siblings. Shiloh previously obtained court approval to legally change her name, while Zahara and Maddox have also filed petitions seeking to remove “Pitt” from their surnames. Those requests remain pending.

The move also follows a public sign that Vivienne had already begun using the Jolie surname professionally. In 2024, she was credited as “Vivienne Jolie” in the Playbill for the Broadway production of The Outsiders, which she helped produce alongside her mother.

Family Changes After a High-Profile Split

Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie share six children and finalized their divorce in 2024, ending years of legal proceedings that followed their separation in 2016.

Although their marriage has officially ended, the former couple continues to face legal disputes, including an ongoing case involving Château Miraval, the French winery they once co-owned.
