Jennifer Nettles has shared new details about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s closely guarded wedding, revealing that even invited guests knew very little about the celebration until the last minute.
Speaking about the July 3 ceremony at Madison Square Garden, the country singer said the event was kept so private that attendees weren’t told key details until shortly before it began.
Guests were kept in the dark
Nettles, who previously collaborated with Swift on Sugarland’s 2018 song “Babe,” said receiving an invitation was a surprise in itself. She explained that despite online rumors leading up to the wedding, nobody knew exactly what to expect.
“It all surprised me,” Nettles said, adding that “no one knew anything” until much closer to the big day, making the celebration feel even more special.

The wedding reportedly welcomed around 1,000 guests, with celebrities including Adam Sandler, Lena Dunham, Adam Scott, Fergie, Eric Stonestreet, Jessica Alba, and many others attending the star-studded event.
According to reports, organizers enforced strict privacy measures throughout the celebration. Several staff members were reportedly removed from the venue after allegedly taking unauthorized photos, underscoring the couple’s determination to keep the ceremony private.
