Justin Baldoni and his wife, Emily Baldoni, have spoken publicly for the first time following the resolution of the legal dispute involving Baldoni and his It Ends with Us co-star Blake Lively.

In a video shared on Instagram, the couple reflected on what they described as two difficult years, saying they chose to remain silent while the legal process unfolded. “We are healing,” Justin said, adding that recovery from trauma “isn’t linear” and that his focus is now on family, faith, and moving forward.

Couple Reflects on Difficult Chapter

Justin explained that he and Emily had considered speaking publicly many times but ultimately felt it was best to wait until the legal proceedings concluded. Emily acknowledged that the past two years brought significant emotional challenges, saying the couple experienced both pain and trauma while trying to navigate the situation.

Although neither directly mentioned Lively by name in the video, Emily said they remain grateful for the support they received from family, friends, and their community during the ordeal.

The dispute began in late 2024 when Lively filed a lawsuit alleging sexual harassment and retaliation connected to the production of It Ends with Us. Baldoni denied the allegations and later filed counterclaims against Lively and others, which were subsequently dismissed.

The parties later reached a settlement before trial. In a joint statement released after the agreement, both sides said they hoped the resolution would allow everyone involved to move forward while reaffirming their commitment to respectful workplaces and raising awareness about issues affecting survivors of domestic violence.

Looking Ahead

Following the settlement, representatives for Baldoni described the outcome as a victory for their clients, while Lively’s legal team emphasized that the case helped establish important legal precedent regarding retaliation claims. Both sides have publicly characterized the resolution in ways that reflect their respective positions.

For Justin and Emily, however, the focus appears to have shifted away from the courtroom. The couple said they intend to prioritize healing, spending time with their children, and rebuilding their lives after a highly publicized legal battle.
