Devyn Dalton, a Canadian stunt performer and actor, stepped in as Damon’s double during scenes involving the Laestrygonians, where Nolan used practical filmmaking techniques to create the illusion of towering giants. Because of her height, Dalton was selected to help achieve the forced perspective effect.
After Damon’s comments went viral, Dalton told LADbible she was surprised but grateful for the attention. She described his praise as a “huge compliment” and joked that she never expected her biceps to become the biggest talking point of her career.
Dalton said working alongside Damon on The Odyssey was an unforgettable experience and called it a major career milestone. She explained that stunt performers are chosen based on the best physical match for a role, regardless of gender.
