A Long Relationship With the Jackson Circle
Members of the Cascio family have renewed serious allegations against Michael Jackson, claiming they were groomed and abused during their childhood connection with the pop star.
The family first met Jackson in the 1980s through their father, who worked as a hotel manager in New York. Over time, their relationship reportedly became closer, with the children visiting Jackson’s Neverland Ranch and spending extended time with him.
Claims of Grooming and Control
In a recent interview with the New York Times, four of the Cascio siblings said Jackson allegedly positioned them as his “second family” and trained them to defend him publicly.
One of the siblings claimed Jackson “brainwashed” them and referred to them as his “soldiers,” suggesting they were conditioned to reject outside criticism or allegations against him.
The siblings described him as a dominant emotional presence in their lives, saying he acted as a friend, father figure, and protector.

Allegations of Sexual Abuse
The siblings also alleged that Jackson sexually abused them during their childhood. These claims are part of a broader legal dispute involving the Jackson estate.
One sibling said they only later understood the nature of their experiences after watching the 2019 documentary Leaving Neverland, which featured separate abuse allegations against Jackson from other accusers.
A Family Divided
Not all members of the Cascio family have made the same claims. One sibling has previously defended Jackson publicly, including in a 2011 book and earlier interviews, stating he never witnessed any abuse.
This division has added complexity to the legal and public narrative surrounding the family’s relationship with the singer.
Legal Battle With the Jackson Estate
The Cascio siblings previously reached a financial settlement with the Jackson estate in 2020, reportedly worth around $16 million, distributed over several years.
After payments ended in 2025, negotiations reportedly resumed, escalating into renewed legal conflict and public statements from both sides.
Jackson Estate Denies Allegations
Representatives for the Jackson estate have strongly denied the accusations, calling the lawsuit financially motivated and inconsistent with the family’s earlier public statements defending Jackson.
They argue that past interviews, books, and public appearances contradict the current claims being made.
Ongoing Court Disputes
Court proceedings have included arguments over prior settlement agreements, with the estate insisting that any dispute should be handled through private arbitration.
Legal representatives for the Cascio family have challenged that position, claiming parts of the agreement are not enforceable.
A Legacy Still Under Debate
The renewed allegations come years after Michael Jackson’s death and coincide with ongoing public debate over his legacy, particularly following documentaries and biographical projects that revisit past accusations.
While Jackson remains one of the most influential entertainers in history, disputes surrounding his personal life continue to divide public opinion.
