Donald Trump has said his administration will soon provide answers regarding a series of unexplained deaths and disappearances involving scientists over the past few years.
Speaking to reporters on April 16, 2026, Trump confirmed he had been briefed on the situation and described the matter as “serious”, adding that officials were actively reviewing the cases.
He said he hoped the incidents were simply coincidence, but emphasized that investigators would look into all possible explanations.
The remarks follow growing public attention on reports involving approximately 10 to 11 individuals connected to scientific fields such as aerospace, nuclear research, and defense technology.
According to reports, some of those involved had access to sensitive or classified projects, which has added to speculation surrounding the pattern of cases.
Among those being referenced in coverage are scientists and researchers linked to institutions such as NASA contractors, national laboratories, and private aerospace firms.
The White House has confirmed that federal agencies, including the FBI, are reviewing the incidents collectively to determine whether there are any connections.
Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said officials are treating the matter seriously and will continue investigations alongside relevant departments.
Despite online theories circulating, officials have stressed that no confirmed link or coordinated cause has been established between the cases at this time.
