A chilling new report has revealed the final hours of a couple who were both found dead after a concerning 911 call in California.
John “Jay” Ruskey and his wife Kristen Ruskey, parents of three, were discovered unresponsive inside a home in Cambria on February 8.

Earlier that morning, around 4:30 a.m., Kristen called emergency services, initially reporting that her husband might be having a seizure.
However, when first responders arrived, she told them he was experiencing a “bad trip”, possibly after consuming a substance at a party the night before.
Paramedics advised that Jay should be taken to hospital for further evaluation, but he refused medical treatment, and the couple returned to their room.
Just hours later, around 9:30 a.m., both were found unresponsive by others at the property, and despite attempts to revive them, they were pronounced dead at the scene.
A later investigation revealed the true cause of death was carbon monoxide poisoning, with toxic levels found in their systems.
Officials also discovered that a carbon monoxide detector in the home was not functioning, raising serious concerns about safety.
No drugs were recovered from the scene, and authorities said there was no evidence of foul play, ruling the deaths as accidental.
The couple, who were known for their work in agriculture and business, leave behind three children.
Their tragic deaths have sparked renewed warnings about the dangers of carbon monoxide and the importance of working detectors in homes.
