Bill Gates has revealed the identities of two women he says became part of Jeffrey Epstein’s alleged attempts to pressure him, according to newly released details from his recent congressional testimony.

The Microsoft co-founder appeared before the U.S. House Oversight Committee earlier this month as lawmakers continued examining connections between powerful figures and the late financier and convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. During the closed-door testimony, Gates acknowledged that Epstein had knowledge of his past extramarital affairs and allegedly tried to use that information to regain influence over him.

Gates Says Epstein Used Personal Information as Leverage

In prepared remarks, Gates described his meetings with Epstein as a “grave error in judgment” and said the financier became aware of sensitive details about his personal life. Gates testified that Epstein attempted to pressure him using information about past affairs, though he said the efforts were unsuccessful.

Gates stressed that the affairs had no connection to his interactions with Epstein and said he regretted ever associating with him. He also told lawmakers he never witnessed criminal conduct and had no knowledge of Epstein’s sex trafficking activities while they were in contact.

Two Women Identified in Testimony

According to reports based on the released testimony, Gates identified the women as bridge player Mila Antonova and nuclear scientist Karima Nigmatulina. The names surfaced as lawmakers examined documents and communications tied to Epstein’s efforts to maintain relationships with influential figures.

Reports indicate Epstein possessed information about Gates’ personal relationships and may have attempted to use it as leverage after Gates began distancing himself from him. Gates said the situation caused significant pain for his family and remains one of the reasons he regrets the association.

Gates Continues to Deny Other Allegations

While acknowledging the affairs, Gates has rejected other claims that surfaced in documents linked to Epstein. A spokesperson for Gates has described several allegations as false and characterized them as part of Epstein’s efforts to manipulate or damage his reputation.

The billionaire also reiterated during testimony that he never visited Epstein’s private island and was never involved in any criminal activity connected to the disgraced financier. He told lawmakers he severed ties after realizing Epstein could not deliver on the philanthropic opportunities he had promoted.

Why the Testimony Matters

Gates’ appearance before Congress is part of a broader investigation into the handling of the Epstein case and the financier’s extensive network of high-profile contacts. Lawmakers have been reviewing newly released records and testimony from several prominent individuals as they seek answers about Epstein’s influence and relationships.

While the testimony generated headlines because of Gates’ personal admissions, investigators remain focused on understanding the full scope of Epstein’s activities and the methods he allegedly used to cultivate connections with powerful figures.

Editorial Note: The allegations regarding blackmail attempts come from testimony and released documents. No criminal charges related to these specific claims have been filed against Bill Gates.
