A man diagnosed with psychopathy has opened up about how he used to manipulate people — and claims certain personality types are far easier targets than others.

Psychopath Says He Knew He Was ‘Different’

Loic De Marie, from Belgium, says he always felt disconnected from other people emotionally, but it wasn’t until he was 23 that he was officially diagnosed with psychopathy, antisocial personality disorder (ASPD), and impulsivity with narcissistic tendencies.

Now 25, Loic appeared on LADbible Stories’ Minutes With, where he described how he struggled to understand emotions from a young age.

He recalled one moment from childhood when his sister was drowning in a pool, admitting he didn’t help because he didn’t want to ruin his clean clothes.

Another moment that stood out to him was after a classmate died in a car accident.

“I couldn’t understand why everyone was crying,” he said. “I thought they were weak.”

The Type Of Person He Claims Is ‘Easiest’ To Manipulate

According to Loic, psychopaths can often identify vulnerable people almost instantly.

He explained that shy, emotionally fragile, or highly empathetic individuals can become easy targets for manipulation because they are more trusting and emotionally driven.

Loic admitted he specifically targeted women who were depressed, emotionally vulnerable, or lacked strong support systems because they were more likely to give him what he wanted quickly.

He said manipulation was always about “personal gain.”

‘Manipulation Is About Getting Something’

Loic explained that manipulation, in his view, is simply about gaining trust in order to benefit personally.

“You only need to get the confidence of another person,” he said.

He described his past mindset as ruthless, saying he believed he deserved “good things in life” and would do whatever was necessary to get them.

The ‘Deadly Weapon’ He Says Psychopaths Use

One of the most surprising things Loic revealed was what he believes is a psychopath’s strongest tool — appearance and charm.

According to him, a friendly smile and confident body language can instantly lower people’s guard.

“A beautiful smile is always a deadly weapon,” he claimed, explaining that many people naturally trust someone who appears calm, kind, and helpful.

He added that psychopaths often learn to mimic emotions and gestures even if they don’t genuinely feel them internally.

Therapy Changed His Life

Despite openly discussing his past behavior, Loic says therapy has helped him change significantly since 2023.

He now claims he tries to be as honest as possible and hopes to eventually enter politics.

Although he says changing himself has been difficult, he believes opening up publicly is part of being truthful about who he is.

What Experts Say About Psychopathy

Psychopathy itself is not an official medical diagnosis, but it is often linked to antisocial personality disorder (ASPD).

According to mental health experts, symptoms can include manipulation, lack of remorse, impulsive behavior, aggression, deceitfulness, and disregard for others.

Experts also stress that not everyone with ASPD behaves violently or criminally, and many people seek treatment to better manage their behavior and relationships.
