A graphic designer has spoken out after A$AP Rocky ended plans to work with him when a private Instagram message was shared publicly.
Designer Allan Peters revealed that the rapper had contacted him about a possible brand logo redesign, praising his work and asking about his rates. Excited by the inquiry, Peters posted a screenshot of the direct message to his Instagram account, where he has more than one million followers.
The post quickly caught Rocky’s attention. Calling the move “distasteful,” the rapper responded by ending the potential collaboration, writing that they would no longer be working together.
Peters has since addressed the situation, explaining that he never intended to disrespect the artist. He said he viewed the message as a compliment and believed sharing it would be seen positively, noting that fans have posted screenshots of conversations with him in the past.

After Rocky objected, Peters said he immediately deleted the post and apologized. He added that there was nothing more to the incident and that he respected the rapper’s wishes.
