Fresh reports surrounding Tom Hardy’s alleged exit from MobLand have reignited attention on earlier rumors involving tension behind the scenes of the Paramount+ crime drama.

According to a recent report from Puck News, Hardy will reportedly not return for a potential third season of the series after alleged clashes with producers during filming. The report claimed disagreements centered around script changes, repeated lateness on set, and frustration over the show evolving into more of an ensemble drama.

Neither Paramount+ nor Hardy has publicly confirmed the claims. However, the reports quickly brought renewed focus to comments previously made by Hardy’s co-star Helen Mirren after rumors of a feud between the pair surfaced last year.

At the time, reports claimed Mirren had grown frustrated with Hardy’s alleged on-set behavior, including accusations that he regularly arrived late during production. One source quoted in earlier reports described the atmosphere behind the scenes as increasingly tense during filming.

Mirren later appeared to shut down feud speculation in a social media post praising Hardy personally and professionally. In the post, she described the actor as brilliant on screen and complimented his dedication and kindness off camera, while also criticizing what she called “bad journalism.”

Hardy himself had previously spoken warmly about working with Mirren and Pierce Brosnan, calling both actors “brilliant” and saying it was an “absolute joy” sharing scenes with them on MobLand.

The latest reports also referenced past stories from other productions involving Hardy, including previously documented tensions during the filming of Mad Max: Fury Road. Actress Charlize Theron had openly acknowledged difficulties during that production, while Hardy later admitted the pressure on set affected his behavior at the time.

Despite the speculation, MobLand remains one of Paramount+’s biggest recent streaming successes. The show’s second season has already completed filming, and fans are now waiting to see whether Hardy’s character Harry Da Souza will remain part of the franchise moving forward.
