After a suspected overdose incident, streamer Clavicular has decided to sever ties with a member of his close circle, an Australian friend known as Androgenic. The friend had recently traveled from Australia to join Clavicular’s live streams but was viewed by some within Clavicular’s entourage as a negative influence, particularly concerning substance use.
Sources familiar with the situation indicated that concerns escalated when the Australian associate appeared to offer Clavicular Adderall during the episode that led to the suspected overdose. Despite initially continuing the association, Clavicular’s security team ultimately escorted the individual out of his residence. The streamer did not intervene to prevent the removal.
Moreover, Clavicular’s team arranged a one-way ticket for Androgenic to return to Australia, though it remains uncertain whether he will take the flight. This move follows a public statement from Clavicular in which he announced he would cease all in-real-life (IRL) streaming and commit to quitting substance use entirely.
In a recent stream, Clavicular expressed the challenges he faced with his previous content style. He acknowledged relying on substances to maintain his streams and said he must either embrace sobriety fully or develop a new type of content. He stated, “I really can’t IRL stream anymore. I either have to practice mogging sober or just find a new form of content.”
This development comes amid growing scrutiny of internet personalities dealing with the pressures of content creation, substance use, and personal health. Clavicular’s decision marks a significant shift in his approach to streaming and public engagement in the wake of his health scare.
