Police Close Investigation Into Hulk Hogan’s Death

Florida authorities have officially confirmed the cause of death of wrestling legend Hulk Hogan, nearly a year after the WWE icon passed away at the age of 71.

The Clearwater Police Department announced that its investigation into Hogan’s death has now been formally closed after months of public speculation and scrutiny surrounding his final days.

WWE Legend Died in July 2025

Hogan, whose real name was Terry Bollea, died on July 24, 2025, at his Florida home. Emergency services were called after he reportedly stopped breathing while surrounded by family members and medical staff.

Police said Hogan’s wife, Sky Daily Hogan, was present alongside a home health aide and occupational therapist when CPR efforts began before paramedics arrived at the scene.

Questions Raised After His Death

Following Hogan’s passing, his daughter Brooke Hogan reportedly sought additional clarity regarding his medical treatment and explored whether further examination of his death would take place.

The situation drew major public attention as rumors circulated online about Hogan’s declining health and possible complications linked to previous surgeries.

Investigators Reviewed Medical Records

According to authorities, investigators reviewed witness statements, surveillance footage, emergency response records, and Hogan’s extensive medical history during the investigation.

Family members reportedly told police the wrestling star had been dealing with several serious health conditions, including kidney failure, pneumonia, leukemia, and heart-related complications.

Officials also looked into speculation surrounding a possible surgical complication, though investigators said no evidence supported those claims.

Cause of Death Officially Confirmed

Police ultimately concluded there was no evidence of criminal wrongdoing and ruled Hogan’s death to be from natural causes.

According to the report, the medical examiner determined Hogan suffered a heart attack. A private autopsy reportedly reached the same conclusion and found no signs of traumatic injury or toxicological factors contributing to his death.

With the investigation now closed, authorities say the case has officially been classified as a non-criminal death investigation.
